Most of us have probably bought a striking feature to form part of our speech room decor – and sometimes one of these statement accessories can spark off a creative theme that can end up taking over the whole room! This is what happened for Stephanie, who is giving us a tour of her speech room today – she bought this $1 pencil tin and the rest…..well, it just flowed from that!
Nice colors – gray/green/lime – but just an ordinary tin you may think….well just look at how creative Stephanie has got with this great color scheme:
By focusing on the colors of the pencil tin, Stephanie has created some really refreshing boards in her Speech Room. Don’t you just love the plaited border around the boards?

I am inspired by the hanging colored discs! They are a wonderfully simple but really effective way of adding a splash of color. The canvas prints merge really well with the color scheme too!
Stephanie shows that by choosing a defined and striking color scheme like she has, you can really bring life and excitement to things – look how using colored lettering on the room rules has really made it interesting and fun, while fitting perfectly with the scheme of the room. She has even bought a rug to match with her color scheme! And simple cost-effective purchases like these lanterns can add a bright statment in a dull corner.
This great speech room tour has reminded me that from one good idea, a whole space can flourish – I know that I will be taking a lot more notice of my favorite accessories from now on! Thanks Stephanie, for that inspirational tour!
