Are you ready for back-to-school? That day that seemed so far away on the first day of Summer vacation is looming ever closer! Today I want to share with you one of our bulletin board ideas that will make the idea of going back to school a little more colorful! The start of a new school year is all about getting settled in and getting to know each other. This superhero bulletin board can be made up as part of an ‘all-about-me’ activity with your students – also meaning that you don’t need to make it up before term begins – giving you an extra few hours to relax….
Who doesn’t have a favorite superhero? You could allow each student to make their own superhero character for the display. They will be excited to design their own superhero – maybe even themselves as a superhero! During this activity, you could take the opportunity to discuss with your class some ‘super’ types of behavior and come up with your class rules for the year. Each child can also make a note on their superhero of something that they are ‘super’ at – making a positive start to the term.
